For claims between £5000 and £15,000 the costs to issue proceedings are £400 whilst the costs for claims between £15,001 and £50,000 are £585. The sums of £325 and £460 respectively are recoverable from the debtor.

In those cases where the amount due is not recovered, the only costs payable by you are those under the heading "Costs payable by debtor" together with, where appropriate, any High Court Enforcement Officer's fees which are usually £60 in an unsuccessful action.

Scottish & Irish claims

We are also able to issue "same-day" proceedings in England against debtors in Scotland and Northern Ireland. The costs are slightly more than English claims but are much cheaper than using Agents in those countries.

We will invoice you for work undertaken on your behalf (including the costs payable by the debtor) within 14 days of the work being carried out and we ask that our accounts be paid within 21 days please. We account to you on a gross basis, i.e. including the costs, interest and late payment compensation charge recovered.
